Meet Sue Bzikot, e-Qualitas independent consultant
Sue is an independent Consultant working on a number of 14 to 19 projects with schools and educational providers of all types in the UK and abroad. She also offers consultancy, training and support (pre-and post-OFSTED inspection) for Science, Mathematics, D&T and ICT departments, apprenticeship providers, improvement (including the analysis and effective use of data management), design and management of the KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum and e-learning.
Sue delivers INSET courses in the areas of science, ICT & technology, management of change, curriculum design and management (including vocational courses), health and safety and teaching and learning e.g. making good lessons outstanding; effective use of data. Sue has been Lead Consultant for SAM Learning, one of the country’s leading providers of web-based examination preparation materials. She managed a large team of independent Consultants and also advised the Managing Director on current educational policies and practice leading to development of the present product.
Sue has also worked at Kingston University as Guest Lecturer on their PGCE Secondary and Primary Science courses and also been involved in marking and moderating undergraduate portfolios and assignments. Sue is an Approved OFQUAL Consultant, External Assessor/Tutor for e-Qualitas a teacher training course provider, OFSTED Inspector, Examiner for the International Baccalaureate and Science Advisor for the Cooperative Academies Trust. She has written student and teacher materials (including vocational qualifications) for the Mawhiba Project in Saudi Arabia. During the Autumn of 2010 she visited Malaysia working with Nord Anglia for almost a month to advise the Khazanah Trust Schools (a project reporting directly to the Prime Minister’s Office) on their Science Curriculum, observing and reporting on lessons in schools and to work as part of the scoping group charged with drawing together a set of proposals for how to develop academic and vocational education in Malaysia into the 21st century.
Sue has also written key guidance documents for Science, teacher training and school improvement in a number of key areas e.g. data analysis, assessment and progression. She continues to do similar work with schools in Zambia and Nigeria.
