Trainees attend weekly training which is made up of a combination of face-to-face training (delivered at our central London training centre), online and self-directed learning.
You will be allocated an eQ tutor who will support you in your school each term. You will have a phase lead who you will see at weekly training days. By demonstrating that you have made good progress in all the curriculum areas, you will be awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at the end of the course.
The e-Qualitas curriculum has a positive approach to wellbeing and a desire for the reduction of workload ‘designed in’. The subject/phase community structure within our programme, along with the half-termly tutor visits, creates opportunities for trainees to be both seen and heard.
Meet our Primary Subject Leads:
Throughout the course we will closely monitor and support your progress to enable a thorough understanding of the Core Content Framework and Teachers’ Standards. Trainees reflect on progress on a weekly basis supported by an in-school mentor and ITT lead, culminating in half termly reports produced jointly with mentors.
In addition to working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) on successful completion of the course, apprentices will also complete an end-point assessment (EPA) after the summer to consolidate learning from initial teacher training.
